Acceptable Use Policy

Rules governing how you may use our services

1. Permitted Use

You may use Unimpersonationable solely for lawful purposes related to monitoring and protecting your own likeness, voice, identity, and intellectual property. You must have the legal right to submit any biometric reference data you provide. Use of the Service is permitted only for your own protection, or — if you are an agency — for the protection of talent you represent with their documented consent.

2. Prohibited Uses

The following uses are strictly prohibited:

  • False or abusive takedowns: Submitting DMCA notices, cease-and-desist requests, or any other enforcement actions for content you know is lawfully published, is authorized use, or does not infringe your rights. Filing false takedown notices may expose you to legal liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f) and other laws.
  • Monitoring others without consent:Using the Service to monitor, track, or surveil another individual's likeness or voice without their explicit written consent. This includes using the Service for stalking, harassment, or unauthorized surveillance.
  • Submitting third-party biometrics without consent: Uploading facial images, voice samples, or body scans of any person other than yourself (or talent you manage with documented consent) without their prior explicit consent. This is a violation regardless of whether the third party is a public figure.
  • Scraping and data harvesting: Using automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest data from our platform beyond what is permitted by our API terms. Reverse-engineering or decompiling any part of the Service.
  • Circumventing security: Attempting to bypass, disable, or defeat any security, rate-limiting, or access-control feature of the Service.
  • Illegal activity:Using the Service in connection with any illegal activity, including fraud, identity theft, or violation of any third party's rights.
  • Misrepresentation: Impersonating any person or entity, or falsely representing your authority to act on behalf of another person or organization.

3. Enforcement

Violations of this Policy may result in, at our sole discretion:

  • Immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
  • Referral to law enforcement agencies.
  • Civil legal action for damages, including those caused to third parties by your misuse.
  • Disclosure of information to law enforcement as required by law or court order.

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violation and to cooperate fully with law enforcement and legal proceedings.

4. Reporting Abuse

If you believe someone is violating this Policy or misusing our platform, please report it to:

Include as much detail as possible about the suspected violation. We review all reports and take action where appropriate. Reports are treated confidentially.
